I too transported bees in the car, only a few days ago.
A travelling box, I should have tied it closed, but all was OK
(well, not OK there way be a virgin in there, unintended)
But that's not the point
Of the few hitchhikers(6), 2 presented themself beside me as I drove
Landed on the dash or flew against the side window
So I was able to observe each for ~10-15 minutes before they flew
out of the slit at the top
When resting, both exibited "ankle rub", rubbing inner lower rear leg, repeatedly
Also a somewhat clumbsy abdomin rub, also abdomin flexture
mostly ankle rub, they were never? still.
Just what I see
So, is that a symptom?
It was cold, so I didn't spread it thru my whole journey
