Hi
Here in the UK I am seeing lots of pollen in frames but it is usually
associated with a period when the queen reduces laying, I had always assumed
that without young brood to feed the pollen builds in the comb. I have seen
just such a period recently when over half my queens (about 20) stopped
laying in the cold dry conditions we had in Shropshire. They have all just
started laying in the past week with a little sunshine and autumn feed
