Have you looked up the definition of each? What constitutes a parasite? What constitutes a pest? From just the general definition of each one "might" come up with the proper designation.
parasite:
: an organism living in, with, or on another organism in parasitism
:
something that resembles a biological parasite in dependence on
something else for existence or support without making a useful or
adequate return
pest:
: something resembling a pest in destructiveness; especially : a plant or animal detrimental to humans(bees) or human(colony) concerns (as agriculture or livestock production)
: one that pesters or annoys : nuisance
