>.What is the response curve to Apistan? Anyone know? So far, it does
not seem to be doing anything and I put it in five days ago.
when varroa are not resistant to fluvalinate the response is fast. usually
24 to 48 hours. I have seen sticky boards with a higher amount of varroa
than I care to count in a short period.
My guess is your varroa load is low rather than fluvalinate resistant varroa
but Delaplane found in Georgia mite load actually increased while apistan
was used when the mites were fluvalinate resistant.
My personal testing has found you can return to apistan after a period (
five years?) and get a decent mite kill.
