Yes, this is the home remedy du jour for chalk....been hearing about it from many different circles.

According to one Florida bee inspector, it has to be south american banannas (i was told there is a specific fungicided used in south america, and that this is the active agent....I have no way of knowing if any of it is true).

This falls outside of our management practices however, and we will see what things look like with a turnover of brood from the new queens.
