The size of european
oney bees has not been changed by the use of foundation (I have published a
ountain of evidence on this) so there is nothing to "revert" to.
I have noticed in my largely foundationless hives that there is a range of sizes of bee in them and not just one size. They seem to do a bit better than bees on foundation-based comb. Looking at bees in Ireland last week, apparently Amm, I noticed that they were a lot bigger than my local mongrels in S.England. I don't know whether this is due to race or foundation size.
