My apologies if this has already been posted and I missed it.
 
Nancy Moran at Yale is co-ordinating a research project on the intestinal bacteria of Honey Bees and Bumble Bees and is looking for samples from around the US.

Since I'm just "up the road",I met with a research assistant and we took some samples from 2 yards and 2 bee trees last weekend.Good fun.
 
They are looking for samples from conventional beekeepers,no treatment and ferals; and will send a collection kit with instructions.
