Thanks Kurt! That had always been my understanding prior to reading that
"treatise." I've always felt that eating wild foods and organic produce was
best, but as members of the List know, I go out of my way to question any
long held assumptions.
In the case of bees, I have read several scientific papers about compounds
that are clearly toxic in pollen and nectar. Some of them are ramped up in
response to pest attack.
Could you please direct us to some good papers on endogenous defense toxins,
so that we can all look deeper into the subject?
