Thanks Richard! This is exactly what I am wondering--whether the "3-year
wall" is common.
Those beekeepers who claim success against varroa following major splitting
or installation of packages are still early on the build up curve for the
mite.
What I want to know is about those whose bees are holding their own in the
long term, without major splitting or restarting every year.
