I am getting worried about this pest becoming a problem in New England. In
the past week I have had two people in the bee shop who have SHB's problems.
One got them in a nuc they purchased that wintered over in the south and
another got a bunch in a package of bees. Can they winter over here? Will
freezing ground break the reproductive cycle? This past winter we had so
much snow that the ground was not frozen for long.
