I am currently in Beltsville Maryland, attending the American Bee Research Conference. I was struck by something Dennis van Engelsdorp said to begin his presentation. He said: Nobody is listening to anyone.
Well, I came here to listen. I did not come here with my mind made up and I don't participate in these discussions with my mind made up. If the evidence completely contradicts with what I think, I change my thinking. That is called learning. It's what I try to do every day.
Nothing stays current for long, and I am afraid that what is believed to be true today may be a joke tomorrow. Changing your mind is not a sign of lack of principles, it's a sign of growth. Moving right along now...
