I think I remember several years previously that in order to get our today's "standard" sized bees to draw and utilize the small cell comb properly, the bees had to be progressively reduced from normal sized cells to the desired small cell size, that an immediate jump from standard sized cells to the small cell was almost impossible with the gradual reduction in the size of the bees constructing the comb. Course, I could have remembered this incorrectly.
