Hey John and all, 

I would recommend removing the screen from the hot room window or new crop honey 
room. 

Then cut some thin plywood or luan and cutting a number of holes in it and 
making hardware cloth cones
for it to release the bees. They could be about any size I suppose. 
My thoughts are to attract the bees directly to the light where the cone is. 
They will exit. 

I would just put plywood over any extra windows in the room. Keeps them clean 
too. 


For instance, cut about 2 or more 6 inch circles. Make the cones and staple them 
on the outside
portion of the plywood. 

If it's a hot room, than less holes/smaller holes to retain heat. 

The fan/blower with a light bulb is good too. The fan chops up the bees and 
blows them 

into the bags. It make great fertilizer. Good for dark rooms. 

Btw....consider in floor heat for any hot room. We even made one for our Florida 
operation. Have one in Michigan too. 

Always had trouble with the last 3 supers on the pallet. Way too cold. Not any 
more.
