Good point. I had intended to mention that and also that skunks and other
pests will stir up bees. Nonetheless, stinging at a distance away from the
hives is still a cause for concern.
As far as red ants are concerned, I have problem with them right now and
am wondering how best to control them here in Alberta. The ant poison I am
using does not seem to do much. I wonder how long it takes?
Although I do have an ant problem with a few hives, they are not stinging me
when I am in the area, unprotected. They are a bit fussier to work, though.
