So, I move bees to almonds in February, and back home in March. Home is in
north central California, near the Oregon border. Climate in almond areas
is spring like (most years anyway). Home is still in the midst of winter
and cold. Bees are ready to split or swarm after almonds, it is too early
for queens, and I am moving them back to cold country. Moving them to
another location that is warmer by following the bloom would work, but I
have conflicts that prevent that from happening. So, how would you manage
these hives?
