My honey sits out on a honey stand in my driveway, year-round, 24/7. There's an honor-box for the money.
We have some winter temperatures that will get down to zero, but for the most part our winter temps run in the teens and twenties.
I have had no problem with cracking jars or expansion. Some of my customers tell me they freeze their honey so they can take it out of the jar with a spoon. Yeah, it's a little stiff, but they claim it's not as messy.
I don't think you have anything to worry about, especially trying to get rid of that honey in the first year. Honey keeps indefinitey.
