> Will Boric acid get rid of the roaches?? Is boric acid harmful to bees??
Boric acid which is ingested will kill any adult insect which walks
or crawls on it and grooms the pads on their feet. Do not expose
honeybees to boric acid. Honey contaminated with boric acid would be
toxic to individuals consuming the honey. Applying boric acid to any
part of a beehive would be a violation of State and Federal
regulations including the label. The roaches which you are seeing
are probably wood cockroaches and do not pose any harm to the
colony. If identification is a concern, the cockroaches can be taken
to your County Extension Office for identification.
