If your bees are in one of 2 boxes at this time of year it could (depending
on climate/ crops etc) be a good time to make a Bailey comb change to give
the bees a chance to draw clean wax and to get rid of the old. Dave
Cushman's site has a thorough description of his method and Wimbledon BKA has
diagrams. Just google 'Bailey Comb Change'. If there is any in my area I try
to time it whan the oilseed rape is just about to flower so the farmer, not
I, feeds the bees.
