I'm wondering what happens to the beeswax when it is cooked and eaten. Is it as bad for you as any other animal fat? Does it pass through the gut undigested? Does it have any particular qualities, good or bad? I took this comb from my foundationless top bar hive which lives on a 'permacultural' holding in West Dorset, UK, so it should be as free of artificial chemicals as it is possible to get.
