It isn't legal. Most of what I have is clearly marked "For Personal Use Only". I occasionally post *excerpts for review purposes only*. As Juanse suggests, many of the authors will provide copies if asked, and many have copies or links on their personal web sites. But as journals become financially hard pressed, they seek revenues any way they can get them. By the way, I recently subscribed to the digital version of the American Bee Journal, which suits me fine. The text is exactly the same and the photos are almost as good as the real thing.
