Juanse, Whilst I was beekeeping in France, the Sweet Chestnut (Castanea sativa) when in bloom produced copious amounts of pollen. The bees collectedand filled the frames. It was full yellow in colour - similar to that of Winged Elm (Ulmus alata) - see: http://pwrbeekeepers.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Pollen-source-Wikipedia-the-free-encyclopedia.pdf Not sure if you are refering to the same tree.
