why no put some of the goverment money that is given out each year into offering the largest commecial beekeepers smr queens a little or no cost to them each year to get an abundance of these genetics out into the field where they can really make a difference. say 25% of their queens get replaced with these queens yearly for 5 - 10 years would that not have a huge impact on varroa and when the hives are requeening themselves that would mean much better chances of them mating with drones who have these genes. the money goes to research but is never used to get the advances that are made into the feild where they can change things.
Eric Slayton.
