Brown sugar is just regular white table sugar (sucrose, beet sugar,
cane sugar) with molasses added. The light and dark brown sugars are
different only in how much molasses is added.You can make it yourself
for baking - about 1 cup with sugar with 1 tablespoon molasses. stir
it up - you'll never need to buy brown sugar again for your cookies.
