Stan, I have used 3.5% OA dribble during the summer, 3x, a week apart a
number of times, with good success.
Ditto with others that I have spoken with.
I may have set the colonies back, but without treatment, they would
certainly have died quickly.
I'm not suggesting this sort of treatment for normal use by those of first
world means, but could perhaps save some less fortunate from losing their
colonies.
