Yes. This is the Java strain (subspecies) which is totally different in all
ways to those in India and Thailand.
Whilst the bureaucrats may have given up, the beekeepers have not. In
Australia we have a saying that "it is not over till the fat lady sings".
So far I have not heard any singing. We will be fighting to keep the
eradication program in place.
