Why not list the symptoms you see and I will answer with a another possible
hypothesis?
The scientific method utilizes a proposed hypothesis and then goes about either
proving or disproving the points covered in the hypothesis. As facts become
known, the hypothesis either becomes verified or disqualified. When the
hypothesis is verified the first time, then others try to replicate the
procedure and either substantiate the claims of the original proof or introduce
other points which would bring into question either the procedure, the results,
or the postulates of the hypothesis. (I think I have all this correct) Now we
are in the testing mode of one or more hypothesis and viewing the results of
claims and counter claims. This is a good process. Always question results
until the questions raised are proven to be true or untrue.
