Thanks for the info, Peter. It sure looks as if the flow shut off like turning a spigot. Today (yesterday) the hive lost another 2 lbs., while the temp only reached 70F on a mostly cloudy, breezy day. Supposed to get back into the mid-80's on Tuesday here also, albeit briefly. Will see if the flow picks up and report. The whole manner of the bees was obviously different today - they landed, stopped and then walked into the hive. In the heat they hit the landing board at a dead run.
Personally, I am in denial that fall is here.
