I would agree, and why most would want to go back to treating.

What was the typical length of time that treatments for mites where not used?
I ask because my observation is that once treated bees are denied treatments it appears that the mites becomes hyper virulent Even a June 1st nuc made up from a hive that is treated may not make it to the next spring without treating. After a few years without treatment something changes where the mites seem less virulent. Not that the mites aren't still an issue.
