Good point, Randy, as you said, "Pete, it worked before humans walked the surface of the Earth! And it is working worldwide anywhere that humans leave the bees alone. I'd say that it's not only feasible, but happening all the time!"
I agree. But today we have commercial and capitalistic motivations that don't allow this natural selection to really work as it's supposed to work, or as it has worked in the past.
And don't get me wrong. I'm not bashing commercial and capitalistic motivations. I think we're all recognizing that our motives have manipulated the species to meet our needs and short-term interests, not necessarily theirs.
