Hi all,

I have a wondering mind, I guess. If the total hive weight is, say 150
pounds. If the temp is so cold

bees cannot exit the hive and say the total weight drops 1 pound, where did
it go? Bees may eat a

pound of honey each day but, where does the weight go? No bees left and the
eaten honey is still in

the stomach of the bee. So how can you assume the bees are eating that much?
Does the weight of

the honey just disappear?

Lionel
North Alabama, where the temp is and has been 15-20 degrees F below normal
for about 2 weeks to

keep bees from flying.
