We continue to use HFCS with success measured in strong healthy colonies. I wouldn't doubt that sucrose would 
be better to a small degree. I question the benefit of the extra cost of sucrose vs. purported bee longevity. 

We always dilute our feed and add chlorine. I have added 1/4 gram of thymol premixed in alcohol with success 
in preventing bacteria growth and there is a possibility it will curtail nosema growth.

 I'm talking 4000 gallon tanks here, btw. 

I have noticed some variation in crystallization over the years and think we have got some *off* loads in the past. We ask for 55 Fructose.
