> Any opinion as to whether it matters what kind? What have you heard?
As far as the eggs most of my information is dated. However the main point I
gleaned was a good quality egg product is needed and there are some egg
products to stay away from.
Dave Hackenberg called me around this time of year last year ( or year
before? ) and we discussed his protein sub and the eggs he was using and
selling but the call was interrupted when a bee truck driver for Dave
arrived at the bee farm ( Pennsylvania) and Dave needed to get off the
phone.
I was only casually interested so did not follow up on the call.
From memory I believe Dave said that food grade was expensive but never a
quality problem but animal grade was around but differences in quality
happened and to stay away from eggs which seemed really cheap.
I have not been up on beesource for a long time but last I was the subject
was being given quite a bit of time. I think egg sources were given. I have
friends which are using Keith Jarrets sub and also buying eggs from Keith
and happy with both.
again let me say I have never used powdered eggs in sub so I have no first
hand experience but think would be a good addition to the sub from what I
have read and heard and would not have trouble recommending Dave or Keith as
egg sources.
