Brian, I agree with you on winter die offs being questionable to attribute
to CCD.

Collapses hardly correlate with winter feeding. If anything, the
protein-fed colonies appear to do better.
California feeding is only necessary if colonies were brought in without
adequate honey and pollen stores. Naturally well-fed colonies need zero
feeding or stimulation of any sort to make grade in almonds.
