From: Medhat Nasr: "... when tracheal mites killed bee colonies. A handful of
bees is left with the queen in the surviving hives. Testing those bees showed
very little tracheal mites. Would it be the same case when CCD colonies tested
after bees left their hives?"
I've read that CCD will roll through a bee yard. Would it be possible to catch
a yard in the midst of a CCD infestation and to start immediately taking sample
of bees from both affected and non-affected hives to try to follow the
infestation as it progresses and getting samples of bees as the hives come down
with the infestation?
