Quote from Dave:
My bees have ccd. I live in Ontario. My bees, NE Fenelon Falls, are
"isolated",
likley have little exposure to pesticides
IMO ccd is caused by a virus, solely
I have 3 reasons to believe this likely true
Ummm, not necessarily :)
A search for airborne, vapor borne, and precipitation borne contaminanets in
the Great Lakes Region turns up the following information:
Atrazine concentrations in precipitation were less reflective of local land
use conditions and suggest longrange transport of the herbicide in addition
to local inputs. Atrazine concentrations in precipitation were not
consistently higher surrounding the southern Lake Michigan basin, and in
fact, atrazine concentrations in precipitation were often higher at remote
sampling stations in the far north than at stations surrounding the southern
basin.

Again, remember that bees collect almost as much water as they do nectar. We
need to keep an open mind.
