Thanks for the post. I was involved in an experiment in Missouri to rotate
back to Apistan after four years of non use. We found the varroa drop was so
low with apistan it was a waste of time. In fact the drop was close to the
natural drop at the time.
I might try some tests this fall to see if things improved.
If apistan was even half as effective against varroa as when first released
it might be a method to work in every so often to clear hives of varroa
buildup from use of the low efficacy (at times) soft treatments. Thymol &
formic.
