I was inclined to keep quiet on this subject because truthfully it made me
smile. I have been using plastic and wood frames w/ inserts for many (+10)
years with considerable success. Yes, it makes a great difference when
undrawn frames are applied, and if they are recoated or not. If not a good
flow put on drawn comb or feed syrup. I prefer not to feed just get the
timing right, or close.Since I have been rewaxing the results have been so
much improved I would not consider doing otherwise. I try to make a point to
put on foundation along with some drawn comb the first of the season and
save the majority of drawn comb for late in season when to cool to get much
wax drawn. So, management plays a big roll in success.
