In all of the CCD operations that we sampled, we had all variations on the
theme in terms of varroa mites - from operations where the mites numbers
were so high we were amazed that any colonies survived, to intermediate
levels, but we also saw several CCD operations with low or non-detectable levels
of mites. Others found much the same, CCD was not correlated with levels
of varroa mite.
