Consider many many Canada beekeepers has said on the "other" beekeeping
discussion list that they reported hundreds ( thousands?) of hives to the
Canada inspection service ( with the described CCD symptoms) and they were
told (despite the highest losses
over the last few years than in the decade before) that no CCD is in Canada.

Those beeks say their hives fit the CCD description of symptoms.

So all I can say when my Canadian friends email asking for my opinion is:

In certain areas such as Canada & the U.K. you can see the exact symptoms
which are described as CCD but for some reason the powers that be refuse to
use the word CCD.

In the U.S. it seems the" powers that be" are quick to use the word CCD.

I am not trying to be a wise guy but I have to wonder when bees are crashing
in record numbers in both Canada & the U.K. as shown by the countless
articles posted on BEE-L and in the bee magazines exactly why the officials
of these areas are positive not one of those cases (which fit the published
CCD description )are NOT CCD.

Medhat?

I wish I could publish WHY as told to me off the record by officials from
those areas but will keep quiet but I think the list can figure out why.
