Deknow,
A quick response. The method Dee uses is the same method beekeepers used
when I started in beekeeping fifty years ago. Almost exactly the way i was
taught years ago.
Her operation is only unique in the fact that few still use those methods.
Which goes back to my comment about many ways to keep bees.
I quickly moved away from many methods she uses with no regrets. A model A
will go the same place as a corvette. Both serve the same basic purpose of
getting from one place to another.
I am not ready to resurrect my old model A for everyday use!
Its great we have a working commercial beekeeping museum to the way bees
were kept fifty years ago!
I consider Dee a friend and have always wished her the best. I perhaps
understand the work load involved with the old ways better than most on the
list! I built my operation on sweat as she has.
All I received from the old methods has been three hernia operations, a
rotator cuff operations and lower back problems.
