There was absolutely no hint of a 'test' line after the three minutes 
suggested, a neither was there any 30 mins later.

Our SBI had similar problems with the AFB kit when conducting a training 
session for beekeepers.  Larval remains definitely infected with AFB, 
followed the instructions to the letter - nothing.  Tried another kit - 
nothing.  Third one worked.
