I understand many American street were lined by the elms before disease wiped out most of them. I read the elm were a good source of nectar for butterflies and bees. Were elms a major honey plant? When do they bloom?
There are some resistant American elms selected from survivors that are being propagated and sold by mail order nurseries. Should beekeepers plant elms?
