Should I be choosing the younger queens to raise new queens?
Longevity is generally held to be a desirable quality in honeybees.
Insofaras it is heritable, the bee breeder may best detect and select it by
using old queens, possibly retired from active life to nuclei whence larvae may
be grafted.
