This is curious. If wax moth came to Australia in the 1870's or earlier
then I doubt there was any Asian connection. Bees were coming from Britain
and Ireland and then Italy and the USA. I also doubt there was a connection
between Asia and Britain, Ireland, Italy or the USA beewise in those days.
The only other way was that wax moth came to these countries in other
products and moved across onto honey bees. This could be the way it moved
from Asia to these other countries, even Australia.
