We have seen cotton crops-even on irrigated cotton not produce near as much 
as in years past-this has been noted by myself and others in our clubs.This 
decline has not-in my observation-been accompanied by kills and could be the 
new strains of BT cotton-don't know. There appears to be some exceptions in 
some fields. But there is a definite overall trend . Some of the old timers 
(Lionel?) could give a more accurate picture.
I am assuming you are using the same number of hives per location. I have 
had some locations go down and I assumed I was overloading them.I am sure 
you have thought of that.
I am always wary of pesticides near as I have some prime locations that have 
really disappointed  me and am fairly convinced there has to be something 
else happening there.
On the other hand, one of my yards that is by a farmer who douses his crops 
with pesticides(beans/cotton/wheat) is absolutely jam packed with bees every 
year.(it is also my one of my oldest nonvaorroatreated yard) Also, I always 
find more dead bees in front of the hives  by far more than any other 
location.
How's that for muddying the waters and energizing speculation!!!???
