I started by assuming that the diagonal rows of misses were due to
foundation wire in W pattern but one at least of the frames appeared to have been
wired horizontally as the wire at the side of the comb was in view.
However, imagine that all the holes were taken away from the centre area of
the comb and moved, instead, to the periphery. You would then think that
there was a massive amount of new bees to hatch over the next couple of
weeks. Looked at that way, do the misses matter that much?
