I agree! My question is not whether drone trapping is effective--there is
plenty of data to support that it is. The question is what is the best
timing to remove it, and how many times?
Removing it if it doesn't contain enough mites would be a waste, and would
have little effect on the eventual mite population. Not removing it at a
critical time might actually increase varroa levels. We need more data to
fine tune the method!
