I don't have much time to write on the subject today, but Allen about wrapped it up on the subject of queen cells.
About 70% take is common.
When mating in our 3 way deep mating nucs.....two out of three take on average.
We don't use fumidil, never have. Maybe we should.
We sell a lot of cells in our region of the gulf coast and used to buy thousands a year before we started ourselves.
We have never shipped, but I know the Miksa's have shipped plenty and have been successful.
I would suggest anyone reread Allen's post if they use queen cells or are thinking of it.
