I use corn syrup in small quantities off the grocery shelf to mix with  
pollen substitute flour for patties.  Does the mercury contamination apply  to what 
is in grocery stores?  corn syrup (HFCS) keeps the patties moist  which 
results in the bees taking up the patties (the patties do not get hard  with the 
HFCS)
