Successful out of how many attempts? I took an
upper division entomology course in biological control
and the professor shocked the class when he said:
"historically 90% of all biological control attempts have
failed." So we were taught to view biological control
as a possible very good control tool, but one that was
likely to fail in a majority of cases.
